Let's begin to set up your new blog. 

To set up your blog click on the left navigation menu. Scroll down and click on the setting option.

You will get many option here.

Add a description to your blog

After going to setting page click on 'Add a description' button. You should describe your blog shortly within 500 words. 

Use your main keywords so that search engines will understand your blog better and it will improve your blog search rank.

So, think for a while and write down your blog short description. 

Select your blog languge

You should select which language you should use in your blog. You can use either English or your native language.

If you use your native language, you will able to describe something fluently. If you have other language proficiency,  you can use it in your blog.

But you should always target your audience.  As English is an international language, it has a large number of audience. This is why, most of the blog is written in English. 

Meanwhile, Multiple language also can be used in blog.

Connect Google Analytic

Google analysis provides your sites statistics.  You can look up and monitor your users activity from here. 

Google analysis will give you a clear idea about your blog.

So, go to google analytic and add your blog as property. Then you will get a id for your blog. Put it in your blog where indicated 'Google Analytic Property ID'. 

Add a favicon to your blog

A favicon is an unique identity for your blog. When someone visites your blog, this favicon will appear in their browser. You can use your company or brand logo as a favicon. 

Remember, your favicon should be square and less then 100 kb.

In default,  blogger icon will be used as your blog favicon.

Bloggers search engine visibility

You can allow or disallow search engines to find your blog. If you allow, your blog may be available in search results. If your blog is complete and live, don't forget to allow this option. Because search engines are the biggest source of audience for a blog.

Add a custom domain in blogger

As blogger is a free platform for for blogging, you will get a blogspot domain without cost. 

Though it is very helpful for beginners, there are some disadvantage of it.

Let's find out some limitation of a free blogspot domain.

1. There are so many bloggers, so your preferred domain name may not available. 

2. Your blog address may be too long. This will disgust your users. A short blog address get good user experience. It will give you an advantage.

3. Custom domain ranks better. Search engines prefer a custom domain rather then a free domain.

4. You should wait for more than six month to get approved in Google adsense. But, with a custom domain address, you can get approved in fewer time.

There are also many advantage and disadvantage of a free blogspot address. It is better to add a custom domain address to make your blog more professional.
